Odeliza Life of a US Expat

Oi!

Tudo Bem? Some conversations I have with locals from Uruguay, Brasil, Argentina, Chile, Peru have asked me “What’s is an Expat?” Well, here’s an exert from wikipedia: An expatriate (in abbreviated form, expat) is a person temporarily or permanently residing in a country and culture other than that of the person’s upbringing or legal residence.

For me, I’ve always been a bit of an “expat” I was raised in the South Pacific Islands and then moved to the US and then moved back to the South Pacific then moved to South Asia then moved to South America.

I guess you could say I’m a bit of a nomad. Living an expat life is exciting but can be lonely and hard at times. Believe me.

But this is my life. And I’m willing to share it with you. So, if you are an expat or maybe want to be an expat; have questions about certain things, or want to know everything, drop me a line. I’m always here, and always listening.

Ate a Vista,

Odeliza Jacoba
