Mahalo Chicos,

I’ve lived in South America for two years and so months. So far its a color of ups and downs. Though Mate is not new to most parts of the South, it was rather new for me. I thought I’d give it a try.

And low and behold, I have my on mate container with my name on it and a sign of a horse since its my Chinese sign and a large thermal I’ve gone through some Yerba brands and so far I have not quite decided on the one I like the most.

Sometimes, I like to put honey in the hot water, some times I enjoy the Yerba simple. There seems to be a debate amongst my real Uruguayan friends about sweet mate and plain mate, for me. I feel like I could drink what ever the hell I want too.

I’ll take some pictures of the Yerba’s I have sampled in the near future and maybe share my opinion of flavors and so forth.
