Midnight in Bali
Midnight in Bali was inspired by my trips to the South Pacific Islands. I love the tropical islands and would live near the beach in a slightly dilapidated beach house, basking in the sun, feasting on fresh tropical fruits, and surfing my little heart out.
Hope you enjoy my Midnight in Bali makeup tutorial. Video tutorial coming soon on my YouTube Beauty Channel.

I’ll be hosting product giveaways this month! Oh Rapture, Oh Joy! ;P
Bom, let’s begin.
Face
1. Always start off with a super clean face. Once you’ve cleansed your face, apply your skin primer and eye primer. Allow the products to set into your skin. A few seconds will do. I like to count to 5 ;P
2. With your favorite cover-up brush, apply a small amount on top of your hand. Dab your brush onto the cover-up then apply with light strokes on to your face. I like to start on my chin and apply outwards in. Once complete, allow the product to set in. Just a few seconds will do.
3. Apply a concealer if necessary. I like to use the warmth of my finger tips when applying any concealer brand on my under eyes as well as any acne scars or discolorations. The key is to apply the concealer with a gentle dab onto the desired areas.
4. Once you’ve applied your concealer take your finishing powder. I applied my MAC Press Select finishing powder in NC35 with my Royal & Langnickel Silk Angled Kabuki Brush. With buffing circular movements work outwards in.
5. Take your favorite bronzer and large circular powder or bronzing brush. I applied NARS‘s Bronzer in Laguna. I used my Royal & Langnickel powder brush and swept the brush on the palette several times. With light circular movements, start on you forehead moving your brush with tiny circular applications towards your cheek bones and chin. Tracing a backwards E shape on your face.
6. Take a light coral blush with pink speckles and your favorite blush brush. I applied MAC’s Back to the Beach blush with my Royal & Langnickel blush brush onto my cheek bones.
Eyes
1. First start with the lightest shade. Using a flat angled eye-shadow brush apply the lightest shade of a sand colored eyeshadow through out your entire eyelids as well as eyebrow bone.
2. With the same eye-shadow brush apply the second shade which is a very light pink onto your lower eyelids all the way into the inner corners of your eyes.
3. Then, using a blending brush, apply a burnt orange eyeshadow shade on the outer corner of your eyelids. I like to use a ‘windshield wiper’ movement starting from the center and moving outwards slightly to the edge of my eye lids.
4. Finally, with the same blending brush, take an iridescent brown color and very lightly blend the color onto the inner half corner of your eye lids towards the center crease.
5. Apply your favorite mascara. I’m in love with Rimmel’s Sexy Curve Mascara in Extreme Black. Start with one application on your upper eyelashes and then don’t re-coat, just use the left over swatch on the bottom eyelashes. I like to apply mascara on my upper eyelashes with 2 to 3 coats. But I wait a few seconds before re-applying, to minimize clumps. If you don’t have time, fan your eyelashes with a magazine or a strong flat paper.
Lips
1. First apply your favorite lip conditioner, allow to set in for a few seconds.
2. Then take your lip brush and a soft coral pink lipstick. I use MAC’s Back to the Beach lipstick in Thrill. Swipe the lip brush onto the lipstick and then apply on your lips. Start with the outer edge of your lips, working your way towards the center. As a makeup artist I prefer to use a good quality lip brush for lipsticks and lip-glosses. The application is so much cleaner and well defined when using a lip brush.
