Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick 2012

February 23, 2012 by odeliza | No Comments | Filed in Favorite Products

Oi!

As you all know by now, I adorei Smashbox Cosmetics. Everything they create is so fabulous, well made, tailored to the woman that is super chic yet super down to earth. Sounds a lot like most of us, neh?

In this photo above, I am wearing Melondrama, which is a beautiful soft-peach tone that is opaque in just one swipe. I love these be legendary lipsticks because I get two in one, it has Vitamin C and E which are good antioxidants that help protect my lips and moisturize at the same time and the color is long lasting.

In this second photo of me below, I am wearing Pink Petal that has a creamy-demi glossy finish. I have no idea why I look so pale in this photo, but there you have it ;)

Here are the swatches on the back of my manos. The lightning is not as good as I’d hoped, so I am going to try to take another photo of swatches this weekend.

In the meantime, if you are interested in the Smashbox’s Be Legendary Lipsticks you can click here (Smashbox.com) and have a look for your self.

Thanks for stopping by my beauty blog!

Oi Gentes!
I absolutemente adorei my PS1 Python Leather Wallet clutch that I purchased from Proenza Schouler. It is so chic and exceptionally well crafted. Made in Italy, so I respect the attention to detail and craftsmanship involved in creating this sexy piece.
It took me years to search for a wallet that I would tote around with me with every change of handbag style and wardrobe. This is it!
I hope you enjoyed my mini haul.

Quick Preventative for Break Outs!

February 19, 2012 by odeliza | No Comments | Filed in Beauty Tips

Oi Amigas!

A while ago my husband asked me for some tips that I could share with him on preventing or calming down his breakouts. Of course, I was thrilled to actually have a chance to talk about his skin and my ideas on how to clear it. The first thing I did was look at the areas on his face where the acne or break outs occurred.

From there I deduced a few quick and super low maintenance tips on how to prevent the acne from reoccurring. So the break down is simple, he has acne on his forehead and around his temple. He does not use hair products or any skin care products during the day. He eats super clean since I cook for him, I’d know. So where are these stubborn break outs coming from? His hat and sunglasses. Aha moment! Bacteria and oil and all sorts of yuck can accumulate on your sunglasses, especially if you wear them on your head and then pull them on to your face. The rim of a hat can clog up with sebum, dead skin, oil, and just out side dirt elements. So, I suggested to wipe down his sunglasses and hat with a disinfectant wipe before and after each use. Then I bought Cetaphil for him to use for a face wash.

And walah! No more reoccurring breakouts.

There. Easy peasy.

Boa sorte!

Mulberry Bayswater Foggy Gray and Christian Louboutin

February 19, 2012 by odeliza | No Comments | Filed in OOTD

Oi Gentes,

Rain is no big surprise where I live, so any chance the sun peaks through, I like to run out side and just soak in the sun. You can’t really tell, but it was a sunny-ish Saturday afternoon.

I adore my Mulberry Bayswater in Foggy Grey! It is bellissima! Out of the sun or light it has a dark lavender grey tone and in the sun it is violet. My new bag is very me.

My gunmetal Christian Louboutin’s are the first pair of Loubis I purchased :)  I take all my Loubis to my local shoe cobbler to have the soles done in red-rubber so that I won’t slip. Granted I think I walk rather chic in heels. I almost feel as if I am not doing my Loubis justice if I walk like a toddler. ;)

Rose gold is my new metal obsession. Once I fell in love my with limited edition Michael Kors’s rose gold watch I just built everything around that. These Micheal Kors (MK) thin hoop earrings are so me and the MK rosegold ring is so chic.

I feel that with all the stack bracelets and watch on my left wrist I had to balance it out with this thick ring. It’s suppose to be worn in the middle finger but I got a smaller size to wear it on my right ring finger. I’ve been told that most people wear their watch on their non-writing hand. I write and do everything with both hands.

I remember when I was a child and I’d write with both hands, my tutor would tell me to pick one and stick with that. Just to make her happy I’d write with just my left. But when I was not around her, I would purposely switch from left and right. I do this still, even with makeup application. Sometimes the people who I apply makeup on notice and are entertained.

The scarf that I am wearing is actually a scarf poncho from BCBG last Spring. I was playing around in my scarf collection and wanted to wear this poncho as a scarf. I think it looks pretty.

I am really into layers. I believe all things involve layers and not just clothing. Here I am wearing 4 layers of tops. Here are the layers:

1. Black tank

1. Black shirt

3. Stone grey cardi-jacket

4. Poncho Scarf

That aside from under pinnings right.

Then I have my black pixie pants from J.Crew. I’m normally a dress – skirt kinda woman but, sometimes, I wear the occasional leggings or pants. I have to admit I only own one jean pant.

I love my new SHOP MAC and COOK MAC collection! I purchased almost the entire collection, but was very good and only what I knew I’d use in my career as a makeup artist as well as personal use.  I hope you enjoyed this post.
