Fall Nail Polish Collection 2010 Revlon

September 22, 2010 by odeliza | No Comments | Filed in Favorite Products, Hauls

Oi Amigas,

Nail polishes are a relatively in-expensive way in enhancing your individual style. One doesn’t want to spend an enormous amount of money on nail polish if you change the color according to your attire, event, or even mood, as I do;P

There are so many cosmetic lines to choose from from the high end brands to the low end brands. I gear towards the middle end brands such as Revlon, China Glaze, and OPI. Although, I think OPI is really reaching up there as far as prices are concerned.

For Fall / Winter colors I tend to gravitate more towards the darker shades that have a slight metallic sheen. In my Fall Nail Polish Video I shared with you my most recent nail polish ‘Haul’ (click here for my thoughts about ‘Hauls’ “Haul Monthly Budget“).

The colors I loved the most are Steel her Heart, Silver Screen, Plum Night, and Midnight Affair.

The color below is what I’m wearing in the Fall Nail Polish Video, ‘Steel Her Heart’.

‘Midnight Affair’ looks like the color of dark denim jeans.

Silver Screen’ looks like sterling silver accessories, but on your nails ;P

‘Plum Night’ looks like the color of a Merlot or dark grapes ;P

Bom amigas, I hope you’ve found this post helpful! Thanks for visiting my website.

Besitos y Ciao,

Oi Amigos e Amigas,

In this post, I’d love to share with you a really quick and simple Every Day Make-up / Retro Inspired look!

What You’ll Need:

1. Foundation

2. Concealer

4. Eye Brow Gel or a combination of Powder and Gel depending on your actual Eye Brows

5. Eye Lash Curler & Mascara

6. Eye Gel or Wax

7. Royal Brush Talkon Bent Eye Liner Brush

8. Red Hued Lip Stick, for me I used an orange / red  hued lipstick to pair with my olive skin tone

9. Rouge / Blush in the Pink shades

What to do:

1. Follow your regular foundation routine

2. Create retro inspired eyebrows according to your natural eye shape

3. Apply rouge / blush on to the apples of your cheeks by smiling and applying the shade

4. Apply lipstick with a lip brush in order to get that perfect pout

5. Create a Cat Eye look by applying the gel / wax as close to the lash line as possible. Using a thin line and retrace according to how thick you’d like the Cat Eye. (Cat Eye Makeup Tutorial Video)

6. Curl lashes and apply mascara.

Que Bela! Bom I hope you’ve found this simple quick Every Day Make-up / Retro Inspired tutorial helpful and amusing. Please don’t forget to show your support by subscribing, rating, and commenting on my Beauty Channel.

The Current Custom Exit Art

September 1, 2010 by odeliza | No Comments | Filed in Hauls

Oi Amigos e Amigas,

I’m so excited to share with you my most recent monthly haul purchase. ;) Collectively, these items were purchased within a two month time span. As I mentioned in my monthly Haul Budget, I aim for quality and not necessarily quantity without leaving myself broke at the end of the month.

I found The Current Custom or Lorraine Stanick within the YouTube Beauty Community and was quickly taken by her personality and style.

So, I later found out that she sells jewelry on her blog as well as her family’s boutiques in Florida. If you watch any of my Beauty Channel Videos, you’d know that I love Jewelery! Amo!

Especially if its of great quality, has circles or ‘O’s for my name ‘Odeliza’, and artisan style ;P

My first purchase was the 42″ Gold Filled Chain link necklace by Lisa Taubes and two small Sterling Silver Hammered Cuff Bracelets and one small Gold Filed Bracelets by David Smallcombe.

My Fiancee calls me ‘Wonder Woman’ when I wear the cuffs. lol ;P

The necklace is very delicate and elegant. It could be worn in various ways. The cuffs are substantial in weight, but not a bother on the wrists.

I’ve decided Lisa Taubes and David Smallcombe Jewelery are my new favorite designers.

I placed another order this past week.

On a side note, I am adamant about customer service. Prior to placing my first order, I called to ask a few questions about the chain link and the cuffs. I spoke to Debbie Stanick, the mother and owner of Exit Art (the actual name of the store). She was patient with me and really helped me through my selection.

On my second purchase I called again just to say thanks and how I really appreciated her thoughtfulness. She remembered me even though she has a multitude of clientele. That trait of her’s is what makes me a new loyal customer.

Money is tough to come by and tough to save especially in this world recession. If I am going to spend any money I want to make certain it’s for quality items, but more importantly I receive attention to my needs as a buying customer. I’ve walked out of boutiques that sell fabulous items just because I did not get greeted when I entered and not even acknowledged when I looked through the goods.

Even though my purchase was online and by phone I received the most exceptional customer service. Mil Obrigada (million thanks) Stanick Family :)

I hope this article was helpful for you! Don’t for get to subscribe to my Beauty Channel ;P

Update, October 8, 2010

I received my most recent order 3 weeks after my original purchase online and it was incomplete. I was missing one item, so I called Debbie right away and she sent it within the next day.Surprisingly, I received that item the next week.

The only issue I really have is timing. I’d really love to order more items, but the time it takes to get here, I might as well wait until I visit Florida and purchase everything at their stores. Not everyone has the luxury to do this, so if you really want to order from Debbie, I’d call and maybe negotiate shipping specifications.

Ciao,
