Soho Palermo, Buenos Aires Argentina

Mahalo Chico,
During our stroll around the chic barrio -Soho Palermo- I took some interesting and random photos. It was an nice sunny day with a slight cool breeze. I wish we walked a bit more. There was so much to see in Palermo.

There were some weird things for sale, well a weird thing. Mannequins. For 80 pesos Argentines.

I’ll post again real soon….

Mahalo Chico,
I’m at Buenas Aires, Argentina this week and I am totally loving this place. We are staying at a barrio called Soho Palermo. Its chic, hip, and so cool. A place that is mostly walking culture is my type of city.
Anyways, while on my off time, I started reading one of the books provided in the temporary apartment.
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho -website here- its a short novel but it had a profound meaning for me. I recommend it, its a book I’d very much read to my future -far in the future- children.

Dia de Santa
Mahalo Chico,
April 9th thru 12th almost all of Uruguay goes on a short holiday. Its Easter weekend or rather dia de Santa - Saint’s Day.
We wanted to take a trip closer to the ocean water but, there are no cars for rent and my other half is not much of an organized person.
He’d rather wait till the very last minute, which is annoying. So we’re stuck here at home. Fortunately, we live right across the street from a beach, so we might just hang out there with Midori -our golden labrador-. At least we save money-.
Happy Easter!

Martes Ferria
Mahalo Chicos,
Ferria, other wise known as Farmers’ Market are abundant in Montevideo, Uruguay. When we first arrived here, I really appreciated the visits, seeing all the frutas y verduras nombres en espanol and its freshness.
Now I have a delivery from my favorite vendor every Tuesday of the week. For those of you that are thinking of vacationing in Montevideo, Uruguay, I’d suggest to stop by the front desk of your hotel and ask when a ferria is happening. More than likely you’ll be able to catch one. They go for roughly four hours.
Ciao,
